Cosmos are unfurling in summer gardens, softly floating above their feathery leaves in all their variegated beauty. Swallowtail butterflies seem to appear out of nowhere to feed on the nectar of rangy butterfly bushes. The remnants of spring are still visible in columbine and starry clematis. Watered-down gouache and watercolor pencils helped me create this artwork to perennially enjoy this ephemeral summer garden, and is part of a nearly- complete new collection.
